Yoga Therapy is what doctors are really thinking about when they recommend yoga to their patients. With yoga therapy you can apply the full range of yoga tools to managing an injury, recovery, or chronic condition. With certain physical, physiological or psycho-emotional conditions, a personal approach is what’s needed. Applied skillfully, the tools of yoga can help with managing, mitigating, or improving a number of conditions including: chronic structural conditions, scoliosis, osteoarthritis, diabetes, obesity, MS
anxiety, depression, chronic stress, coping with difficult life changes, sleep issues, post therapy or post-surgical recovery, and pre-surgery preparation. It is very important to be clear that yoga therapy is not a replacement for medical care, but rather a compliment to treatment provided by your medical practitioner.
The Duke model of health coaching is based on the Wheel of Health, which helps give a much bigger picture view that makes it possible to tap into all of your resources–even the ones you may have forgotten about. Once you’ve set your sights on smoking cessation, weight loss, making an important move or upping your professional game, success entails far more than good intentions. Readiness to change means you’ve devised a clear picture of your goal, assessed your readiness to act, and mapped out a doable plan to get there. That’s where I come in. The six sessions must be used within six months of each other.
Buteyko Breathing is a simple, easily learned set of exercises that requires no special equipment or long-term expense. Practiced regularly, it maximizes the delivery of oxygen to all the cells of your body. Retraining our systems to use the oxygen we take in more efficiently and effectively can help improve areas as diverse as digestion, energy, mood stability, sleep quality, and oral health. In addition to chronic respiratory issues, such as asthma, rhinitis, and chronic congestion, you may benefit from breath retraining if you’ve experienced any of these symptoms of poor breath hygiene: chronic hyperventilation (taking big gulps of breath) frequent yawning, breathlessness or shortness of breath, allergies, acid reflux, fatigue, snoring and sleep apnea, stress, disrupted sleep, anxiety, inflammatory conditions, reduced immunity.
Sessions must be used within four months.

After a long rehab I was eager to resume yoga yet nervous about re-injuring my knee. I attended my first post-accident yoga class under Lynn's guiding eyes (and heart!) It gave me the confidence to resume yoga closer to my home. I'm forever grateful to Lynn for her approach to teaching yoga - the postures, breath work and yoga mind.
I went to Lynn a few times for private yoga coaching for sleeping issues/anxiety. I'd was really nervous about private coaching. I felt comfortable with her right away. Lynn was really professional while also being down-to-earth and engaging. Would highly recommend to someone who's looking for any kind of therapeutic, individualized practice!!!
Having struggled with breathing issues my entire life, even having surgery to try and correct it, Buteyko has changed my life but not without some very hard work. That is where Lynn Crimando's skill came in. I needed a strong coach especially when I felt it couldn't be done. I thank God Lynn stuck with me and I stuck with the program.
