From working with thousands of people who were critically ill or facing death I can say without fear of contradiction that everyone faces a life crisis when faced with serious illness or impending death.
Often this comes from ignoring their deep-rooted discontent with life, never questioning the bigger purpose of it. People with extreme symptoms tend to be a bit more open-minded to the more spiritual aspects of wellbeing.
The warning signs that are very common in most of my clients leading up to serious illness are:
- Working in a job that they hate
- Feeling stuck in a relationship where the love has gone (usually because of children being involved)
- Prolonged financial difficulties
- anxiety over a sustained period
- feeling that life has passed them by
- headaches of increasing intensity
- feeling lost or stuck in life
- chest pains and/or palpitations
All of these are risk factors in serious illness. I prefer to catch people before they have a stroke or heart attack, but often people do not look for help until the main damage is done and they cannot ignore it anymore.
I work quickly to understand where you are at, and to navigate you to a more liberating space that inspires the correct action to get you back on track, and relax more knowing your life does have a bigger purpose than you currently realise.
I work with corporate teams to review the stress levels in their organisation and take practical steps to reduce it, increasing team harmony, productivity and happiness.
The most common reasons given for stress at work are problems with a line manager, too much responsibility and tight deadlines. I examine the individual stressors of each team member before this session and then train and educate teams how to work more harmoniously and productively by improving the team dynamics and educating them about what stress is, how it works, and how they can reduce it.
This session includes a follow up survey after 1 month to measure the effectiveness of the session.
Ideally, shorter monthly review sessions come as a supplement to this service.
